High-pressure water jetting is
a safe and efficient
way to clean drain and sewer lines. Quick, economical and environmentally
friendly, this service can be used on most types
of pipe. Using state-of-the-art pumps and flexible hoses, water is propelled
under varying amounts of pressure into the sewer line. A special nozzle
mounted on the end of a heavy-duty hose has an array of forward and reverse
jets to direct powerful streams of water all the way to the
pipe walls, cutting through even the toughest blockages.
How much pressure is used in this process?
Metro Sewer and Drains High Velocity
Water Jet equipment can be operated at any pressure from 0 - 4000
psi (pounds of force per square inch). This flexibility allows the
operator to select the appropriate pressure to get the job done properly.
Will that much pressure damage my pipes?
We are able to adjust the
pump pressure and the angle of the cleaning jets to safely complete
the job. Most types of pipe used in residential and light commercial
applications easily tolerate this cleaning process. However,
defective pipe may not withstand either cable or water jet cleaning.

performing a hydro water jet operation on an 8 inch pipe. You can hear
the whine of the spinning pump head as it moves back and forth within the pipe
clearing obstructions. We combine video monitoring with hydro water jetting
to locate obstructions with pinpoint accuracy and safely and effectively
remove them.
